Freelancing training started in Dhaka-9 constituency

Directorate of Information and Communication Technology started freelancing training program for unemployed youths living in Khilgaon, Sabuj Bagh, Mugda Police Station with the jingle, 'Take Freelancing Training, Build Your Future'. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury inaugurated this program at the Sabuj Bagh Buddhist Temple Auditorium on Thursday.

Director General of Information and Communication Technology Department Md. Mostafa Kamal, Ward No. 5 Councilor Chitta Ranjan Das, CEO of Nokrek IT Freelancer Subir Nokrek and others were present in the opening ceremony held chaired by the Information and Communication Technology Division Secretary Md. Shamsul Arefin.

Under this training program, 75 people from three police stations of Dhaka 9 constituency will be trained first. Laptops will be given to successful finishers. And the recipients of these laptops will have to train 10 more youths.

While speaking as the chief guest at the event, the environment minister said that 1,000 young people will be given three-month training in freelancing. The training will include subjects like digital marketing and graphics design.

Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that the government is helping every family in the country to stand on its own feet. Provision is being made so that every citizen can earn a living with due rights and dignity. Training in freelancing is being imparted to the youth to make them self-reliant. It is contributing to the creation of self-employment. We should make this program taken by the government successful.
